Questions parents ask us
When should treatment start?
Ideally within 1–2 weeks of birth, but excellent results are possible in older infants and children too.
Is casting painful for the baby?
No. The manipulation is gentle and most babies sleep through it. Any fussiness is usually about being held still.
Will my child walk normally?
With complete treatment and proper bracing, the vast majority of children walk, run and play sport normally.
Do you treat clubfoot that was started elsewhere?
Yes. We regularly assess children whose treatment was interrupted or has relapsed.
